[DumB] is a community of fun loving gamers who aren't afraid to try out new things. Though many people call [DumB] just another CounterStrike clan, we like to think we are far more than just a clan - we like to be seen as a vibrant and progressive community.

At the moment, [DumB] hosts no less than 17 servers providing free gaming services to players all over Europe - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hundred thousands of sessions are recorded at our servers each and every month, and on a normal day our ever-attentive admins strive to keep our servers clean of unwanted elements. On average over 15 unwanted players [racists, cheaters and other undesirables] are banned daily to help keep the experience of playing at our servers enjoyable and exciting.

[DumB] primarily relies on its community to support it both in being one of the greatest CounterStrike communities there can be, and in maintaining the servers technologically and financially. Over time, people have joined us and some have left us, yet [DumB] lives on and goes from strength to strength.

When all is said and done, [DumB] is a great community, with great people, and that’s the end of that :)

NOTE: Game servers #10 and #11 (CS:S office and dust2 24/7) are currently down due to what appears to be a hardware failure/issue. The matter is being investigated, and we are working on temporary restoring service on a machine with spare capacity. (13:00 GMT)

Update: Appears to be a failed voltage regulator or similar with the motherboard. We will hopefully have replacement from Dell over the weekend. In the meantime service will be restored on a temporary server.

(Dumber #8 and #9 are already up and running, #10 and #11 expected back online by 17:15 GMT)

Update 2: All servers are back up running at full performance on identical (backup) hardware. Maintenance will be scheduled for early next week to replace the failed server. In the meantime, you should be able to continue enjoying our servers problem free. :)

Update: Issue resolved, servers back online! (21:50 GMT)

(09:00 GMT) Some of our CS:S servers, including servers #10 and #11, are currently down due to what looks to be a catastrophic hardware failure. We are investigating and will do our very best to get the issue resolves as quickly as possible. Please be patient in the meantime!

In memory of Kevin Chegwin (1972-2006) – AkA – [DumB]Sc00ser.

Today 3 years ago, Thursday 14th September 2006, one of our members were so suddenly taken away from us. At the age of 34 he passed away from a blood clot to the heart – leaving his wife Claire (aka S_Bird) and their two sons Josh and Joseph.

He was a fantasitc guy, a loved part of this community and always a good friend to all of us. We sorely miss you Kevin – and I think a part of you will always remain in our hearts.

Here are some memorable quotes from our community back then;

«Kev was a genuinely nice, caring and funny guy, and he will be sorely missed.»

«I warmly remember Sc00ser even before joining the clan - I can't think of any message other than that my thoughts are with the family, and that I'm gonna miss the man.»

«".. a person who made me smile a lot".. that's my words for him..»

«A great friend who will be sadly missed»

«Kev, Sc00ser, you were always a genuine pleasure to talk with on vent or in IRC, and we've all missed you since you left, and now we'll miss you even more.»

«I have fond memories of him espeically in the early days of dumb, my thoughts and sympathies are with his wife and kids.... just can't believe it»

Unforunately few of us ever got to meet Kevin in real life, but we still feel we had the privilege of getting to know him. He was always a good laugh, and someone you could talk to no matter what. A truly great personality, who will always be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with Claire and her two sons.

Rest In Peace, old friend.

After an exciting evening of both fun and nerve wrecking games in the [DumB] 1on1 Deagle Cup, the results are finally here!

The lineup for the final match was:

image DS|MENINAPI[Z] (stats)

VS

image Hawkk (stats)

It was a close match, and up to the final rounds noone really had a clear lead. This made it an exciting match for those of us who had gathered at SourceTV to spectate. The entire match was recorded, and can be downloaded here.

The final score was DS|MENINAPI[Z] with 15 points versus Hawkk at a very close 14.

Congratulations with the victory DS|MENINAPI[Z]!

We'd like to thank everyone who participated for a fun and entertaining evening, and hope to see YOU sign up for the next event. Keep an eye at our forum and the ingame adverts for more information!
