Looks like our main spam monitoring had failed. This has been fixed, which should reduce the spam we've seen the past few days. :)

Turns out members still in the "Validation" group at the from could post status msgs. No wonder it got spammy! Have still restricted it to [DumB] members and donators to reduce spam, until we have put an end to all the spambots.

The Status Update feature has now been temp. restricted to members and donators only due to recent spam issues.
